hey dw! got our hair cut the other day. this is the first time we've had anything like a side/under-cut or properly shaved hair anywhere at all so we were really nervous?! but it worked out well enough. we're v happy with it u-w-u we're hoping to maybe get it dyed at some point... it'll probably be a while til then but we want to think it out a lot before getting anything done for real so it's ok!! we're not sure what colour we'd want. maybe blonde? but that seems kind of plain, maybe boring. turquoise-blue is really nice but then we're worried that that's too extreme the other way oh nooo

we'll probably be too chicken to get it done for a long time even when we do have the money for it so oh well doesn't really matter. IT'S A NICE THOUGHT THOUGH sighs

+ we want to get our ears pierced again some day. we're too scared of needles and the like for the thought of piercings p much anywhere else or GOD FORBID tattoos (shakes in boots) but ears seem safe enough right!!! we used to have them done a few years ago but they closed up while we weren't looking. i think if we get them again we might want just one ear...? well get them both pierced but only actually put a thing in one of them. idk is that stupid and metrosexual looking enough. we wnat to be so stupid and metrosexual looking all the time oh my god you have no idea GOD!!! I WISH WE WERENT TOO EXPLICITLY EXTERNALLY FEMININE FOR TRUE ANDROGYNY... cries sighs and cries

haha well honestly we always think it as the letters, like pronounced em-ex... i'm not sure why because we certainly dont do that with mr or ms or anything! maybe because we're still getting used to gender-neutral terms and whatnot given that they're (unfortunately) mostly modern inventions, things like mister or missus you are raised knowing as an english speaker but mx is a very new term to us and one we've never heard spoken aloud at all, for that matter, so yeah. but other beings can pronounce it however they like!! mix or mixter or em-ex like us or whatever its all good

oh we know that feeling u_u if we could have it any way then we'd probably like to have a MILLION NAMES!!! and use two or three different pronoun sets at least at all times. we find it really hard to tie ourself down to any one definition or pre-made category of identity ngl. noah & zie/zir/he/him are the best forms of compromise we can make at the moment but its a bit hard to resist the urge to change name every other day, oops.

em-ex is the best pronunciation yay

hmm still not sure tbh... but the more we think about it the more we're wavering towards blonde. we actually used to be blond!! a year ago at least and just for a little while though. if we went for it again i think we'd want something lighter -- it was sort of golden-browny blonde, pretty dark -- maybe even near-white. and from there we could probably dye over it something else afterwards, couldn't we? but i'm still not sure. we'll have to give it way more thought first.

out of curiosity, what actually is your preferred name if you have one? we've never thought to ask and i don't recall you ever saying. we've always just called you masu from your lj username but if there's anything you'd rather then just let us know and we'll switch of course!!

Oh, I think that sounds really cool! And yeah, that would probably give you a bit of freedom for other colors too. But I agree- it's definitely smart to think about it first.

And I prefer to be called Trout! It's short and it works well and plus it's a fish, so that's cool, right? For a while I went by Andy/Andie/Andi, which is my nickname IRL, but I dropped that because a.) it made me feel weirdly paranoid, and b.) I could never decide which way I wanted to spell it. >_< So that's the story!
